Berbere Beef Burger

A little spicy, a little sweet.

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon Organic Ginger, ground

4 teaspoons Organic Berbere Spice
- Spanish onion, 4 slices
- 3 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 buns, sliced
- Cream cheese
- 1 tomato, sliced
Directions
In a bowl, combine beef, egg, garlic, ginger and 1 tablespoon Berbere Spice.
Form into 4 patties. Set aside.
In a large skillet, sauté the onion in 2 tablespoons butter. Sprinkle with the remaining 1 teaspoon of berbere spice. Season to taste, with salt and pepper. Transfer to a plate.
In the same skillet, cook patties in remaining butter to desired wellness. Season to taste, with salt and pepper. Remove from pan.
Place cut buns, face down in the same skillet, and let grill for about 2 minutes.
Set bottoms of buns on plates and spread with cream cheese.
Place patties on the buns, and top with onions slices and tomato. Add top bun and serve!
