Granny Smith's old-fashioned molasses cookies are a Smith family tradition, warmly spiced with our Organic Ground Ginger and Cassia Cinnamon. The egg-free dough chills overnight, then rolls out for cut-out cookies that are perfect topped with our bright Lemon Icing. The recipe makes about 7 dozen, enough for holiday cookie swaps and plenty to share.

Why use our Cinnamon Cassia?

This recipe was tested with our Cinnamon Cassia which is ...

  • Darker, reddish-brown color
  • Stronger, more intense flavor
  • Slightly sweet with a kick of heat

The commercial-grade cinnamon that you see in grocery stores differs significantly from our metal-tested, freshly-ground, small-batch version. Once you try freshly ground cinnamon, you'll never go back.
