All about Spanish Armada
Consider the colors. Deep rusty reds, subtler smoky reds, fire-hot reds, ochre, gold, sunset orange, earthy tones of burnt umber. Then, the smells. Musty, peppery, citrus, bright, jarring, sweet, perfumed, grassy. Next, the flavors, redolent of terraced olive groves, Barcelona tapa bars and Paella platters overlooking the Mediterranean sea. Finally, the tastes, a flamenco dance of sensuous heat and sweet punctuated by assertive stomps of earthiness. This gorgeous collection of Spanish seasonings invades all the senses. In a good way.
