Our Current lot of cayenne has a higher SHU than usual - 35,900!
Cayenne doesn't ask permission. A quarter teaspoon and you'll notice. A full teaspoon and you'll remember it. That's the whole appeal — clean, bright heat you can dial in instead of heat that just happens to you.
Certified organic. No fillers, no anticaking agents, nothing bulking it out to save a few cents. Some cheaper cayenne gets cut with starch and lesser peppers — you won't taste the difference until you need real heat and don't get it.
Stir a pinch into chili. Build it into a dry rub. Some people take a little in warm water with lemon most mornings, for reasons that have nothing to do with cooking. Either way, it does what it says it'll do.
Food Complements: beef, avocado, cheese, chicken, corn, fish, onions, pepper, potatoes, tomatoes, pasta
