Banana Date Nut Smoothie

This banana date nut smoothie is a yummy way to kick off the day. It’s a great way to use your nearly over-ripe banana. It doesn’t require turning on an oven. Just a super easy ritual the night before. And the options when it comes to adding spices – our favorites for this banana breakfast smoothie are Organic Apple Pie Spice or Organic Sweet Potato Seasoning. But you can opt for cinnamon… or nutmeg… or peppermint, if you prefer.

  • 1.Quick prep the night before: Pop a ripe banana in the freezer. Add dates and cashews to a bowl of hot water. Let soak for 2-3 hours, or overnight.
  • 2.Drain dates and cashews.
  • 3.Blend along with frozen banana, almond milk, spices, and vanilla.
  • 4.Optional: Add a splash of coffee to turn your smoothie into a frozen latte.

  • Splash of coffee (optional)
